CHANGES SINCE OUR WEBSITE REUNION LETTER.
To avoid confusion - this is what is needed: Each family should have a representative for their family and hopefully has been passing on any information either by email, or by a copy of the reunion letter so people can decide if they will be attending or not.

1. Send a check made out to Mary Thomas at 3228 Cross Bend Rd., Plano, TX 75023-5605 and write in the NOTES: 2012 Reunion Dues along with the names of which family members it is paying for. ($50.00 per person - child under 09 years is free.)

2. I will deposit the check into our reunion account and update the spread sheet & sign-in sheet that shows you plan to attend and have paid your dues.

3. Everyone is responsible for their own accommodations. The reunion will be held on July 28, 2012, at the Clarion/Villas, 4300 W. Wall St., Midland, TX. If you want to stay there, please call 432 697-3181 and reserve your rooms before they are all booked. See hotel updates on the website(www.deloerareunion.com)for more info.

4. Get together with your family to design your tee-shirts, lose weight, practice your talent, and wait for the reunion to roll around to visit with family.

5. If you have not already done so, please send Lulu a copy of your deceased family member for her reunion project. She prefers a 3X5. Please check www.deloerareunion.com for her address.

Lulu has no computer so I volunteered to do the paperwork. She sent me reunion letter to post on our website and my son, Christopher, will post information as needed. No need to fill out the form to mail to her. When reunion fees are sent to me I will let her know who has sent their funds and who plans to attend, with children’s ages by boys and girls so she can plan accordingly with prizes.

The cut off date to accept reunion fees is March 10, 2012. Please do not wait til the last minute as it will be time consuming for me!

New Hotel Information

Dear Family Members, the reunion will now take place at The Clarion/Villas, 4300 W. Wall St. Midland, TX. on July 28, 2012 but most family members might like to be there the night before for more visiting. The dinner and dance will be on the premises and you are responsible for booking your own reservations. We have been given a rate of $75.00 plus tax of 10.50 for a total of $85.50 per night. This hotel is undergoing complete renovations with all new furniture, carpeting, tv’s, etc. Lulu and I were both told that after the renovations the price will go up to 90.00 plus tax per room. It has 2 indoor swimming pools and they serve a continental breakfast. Of course you are free to choose where you want to stay.
Lulu is requesting a picture of all our family members that have passed since our 1st DeLoera Family Reunion held on August 10, 1991 in Sweetwater, TX. She prefers a 3X5 size copy (not original as it will be used and not returned) and needs it as soon as possible to work on her reunion project.
My records show there have been 43 family members that are not with us   that attended our previous reunions.

Reunion Fundraiser

Lulu and her family have been busy making and selling menudo, cookies and drinks at the park to raise money. This will help cover some of the initial costs of planning the reunion. She has created a DVD of the 1st ever reunion in Sweetwater and is selling them for $10.00. If you are interested in purchasing a copy please call her to order. I have her contact information in a previous post so please check her available hours before calling.

Midland Reunion Update

Lulu is asking anyone that videotaped DeLoera Reunion’s #2 & #4 which were both

held in Sweetwater to please send her a copy. She wants to convert them to CD’s to

make a slide presentation. Her cell # is 714-589-4893 (please call on weekends

Texas time would be after 6pm on Saturday and after 7pm Sunday) Lulu is planning

to have it at the Hilton in Midland, Tx. They require $1000 deposit in order for her to

reserve it for July 28, 2012. The reunion fee will be $50 for everyone over 10 years

old. They don’t offer a childs plate for dinner so the extra will go to cover them.

I’ll continue to provide updates as she passes them on to me

Just a reminder to anyone who attended the reunion - you can request 1 CD of the pictures that were taken that day by our photographer. I had some issues getting the discs copied but am now starting to send them out to those of you who have already requested them. I am taking requests through Friday the 14th so please get those requests in.

Vickie was at our DFR09 reunion a few weeks ago. She will be missed. Here is the obituary that was in the newspaper: Vickie Ann Rodriguez
Vickie Ann Rodriguez went home to be with her heavenly father on Monday, July 20, 2009 after sustaining injuries from an automobile accident. She was born January 7, 1960 in Midland, TX to Victor and Margaret Gonzales. She attended school in California and graduated from Ontario High School in 1978. She moved to Midland, TX in 1993. She graduated from Midland College in 2001. She leaves to cherish her memory son, Oscar Rodriguez, Jr and wife Regina of Midland; son Gabriel Rodriguez and wife Adriana of Midland; daughter, Marisa Stoffel and husband Adam of Fort Irwin, CA; grandchildren: Malerie Rodriguez, Joseph Morales, Rayna Fuentes, Siarah Rodriguez, and Angel Rodriguez, all of Midland; parents Victor and Margaret Gonzales of Midland; three brothers, Victor Gonzales, Jr. of Moreno Valley, CA;Manuel Gonzales of Midland; Mario Gonzales of Midland; two sisters, Judy Santana of Midland; and Ruth Valles of Austin, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was a volunteer for Crisis Intervention Unit in 1996, and volunteered for various organizations throughout the years. She worked as a photo lab tech for Wal-Mart from 1994 through 2005. She loved to dance and could dance up a storm at any occasion. She was always fun and outgoing and the life of party. She will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to have her as part of their lives. A prayer services will be held Thurs, July 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. A Funeral Service is set for Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 am at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers for the service will be Oscar Rodriguez, Jr., Gabriel Rodriguez, Victor Gonzales, Jr., Manuel Gonzales, Mario Gonzales, and Matthew Santana. Honorary pallbearer will be Micah Valles. Services are under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. Family messages and condolences may be emailed to: pipkin@nts-online.net.

Lulu is in charge of this next reunion and has hit the ground running! The location was already decided for Midland and now we have a date… July 28th 2012. If you have a calendar that goes out that far mark it now! :) This blog’s purpose is to keep the family informed and I will continue to give updates for the reunion as I get them. The photos are up and they look amazing. We just wanted to let everyone know that included in the fee is one copy of the CD of all photos per FAMILY in your choice of color cd or black/white cd.
The CD will be available on REQUEST BASIS only and the deadline for the request will be August 14, 2009. Please email your request to:

For those of you that are interested in the CDs, but did NOT attend the reunion, You can purchase the CD for $10 (which includes shipping cost).

You are more than welcome to order through the photographer or wait for the free copy of your CD. Please remember that the photo quality of her prints will far surpass the quality of the prints that we can get off of the cd.
